What if the early explorers had facebook pages?
Mrs. Dingman's 5th grade could imagine
exactly what they'd look like!
(actual facebook pages were not created)
(each student used a Word template to simulate a facebook wall)
We began our school year with an introduction to research focusing on our first Social Studies topic. We researched individual explorers from the 1300's through the 1700's using a variety of online resources. We also searched for and selected a variety of graphic images to compliment our research efforts.
We thought carefully about how today's social media might have impacted the accomplishments and social connections of the explorers we selected. And, using a Word template designed by Mrs. Dingman, we each created a simulated facebook wall to showcase our research and complimentary image selections.
